More Than Just Bilingual

Speaking a second language is an excellent skill, but being bilingual isn’t enough on its own to ensure that your communication will be seamless.

Most interpretation requires more technical language and other important skills, and bilingual family or staff members may not have the experience needed. This is especially true in healthcare settings, where poor interpretation can (and has) lead to incorrect diagnoses or procedures and can result in legal risks or even death. Fortunately, at Rela, we have access to trained and qualified interpreters who can facilitate your communication in a wide variety of languages.
